How to Study Scripture in Different Seasons

Sara Ward

Sara R. Ward is the author of the book Made for Hope: Discovering Unexpected Gifts in Brokenness, and she is the host of the Made for Hope Podcast.  Sara highlights that one of the first steps to take when studying the Bible is to look for key concepts and themes seen throughout Scripture.  Secondly, it is important to looking at the context of why, where, when and to who the passage was written.  Finally, looking for the basic meaning, the interpretation, and the application.  Sara also goes into different ways to study the Bible that are not as helpful or effective.  When you go through different seasons, your time studying God's Word changes as well.  Sara gives us examples from her personal life on how to navigate these changes.
