Kristel Acevedo is a wife, mother, and writer living in South Carolina. Originally from Miami, she felt a call to ministry in college and decided to pursue a seminary education. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Seminary in 2010. Kristel serves at her church, Transformation Church, where she writes discipleship resources for adults, teens, and kids.

In this session, Kristel discusses her steps for those seasons when you read your Bible and don't always feel as though it's "working". She hits on a few key ways of studying scripture that can help you look into the context and the authors to gather information to understand the text more fully. She also talks about how you can let God's word work through you in order to be a better neighbor to all you come into contact with as well as some information on how to make a decision to further your education in ministry.

Kanita Rutley is a missiologist, speaker, worship artist & Bible teacher. After answering the call to full-time ministry in 2013, she has had the privilege to work alongside multiple global Bible translation, engagement, prayer mobilization and evangelism initiatives. She currently serves as the Director of Intercultural Prayer & Missions for the National Day of Prayer Task Force. She is also the founder & Executive Director of She Saves a Nation, a global nonprofit & disciple making initiative that empowers refugee girls in Africa and Asia to become leaders & agents of change within their nation and around the world. Kanita is currently pursuing a Doctor of Missiology at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is recently married to her beloved husband, Minister Ryan Rutley, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Rayn and Kierstyn. 

In this conversation, Kanita talks about practical steps to live out your faith, even if you don't have a Christian background. She discusses how being a missionary can happen regardless of where you are on the globe and talks about the doors that have been opened to minister right from America. Rachael Gilbert is a wife, mom, counselor, business owner, author (book coming March 2023), and podcast host. Rachael loves to have real conversations and help women live free so they can pursue their God-given dreams.

Kristyn DeNooyer writes at the intersections of singleness, spiritual formation, and chronic pain. She holds degrees in English & Nonprofit Communications and Bible & Theology and owns a copywriting firm working with writers, small businesses, and nonprofits. Kristyn loves small-city living, ecumenicism, and contemplative rhythms. When not putting pen to paper she can be found hosting dinner parties, frequenting local businesses, and pursuing her Masters of Divinity at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

In this conversation, Kristyn discusses how she takes what she learns in her Bible study to apply it without a sense of strict duty but out of a heart to know God more. She talks about how to practically take action on the biblical command of loving God and your neighbor, by offering others the grace and freedom to walk in Christ by letting his Word work through you. She explains the importance of giving yourself grace when it comes to studying the word, and recognizing how different seasons may make bible study look a little different.
